Common Mistakes:
Stress Relief
Matcha calms you without sleepiness because L-theanine promotes relaxing alpha brain waves. Studies show L-theanine helps reduce cortisol (stress hormone), with peak effects typically commencing within 40–60 minutes.
Sustained Energy
Enjoy 4–6 hours of steady energy because L-theanine regulates caffeine absorption. Experience no crash or jitters, unlike coffee. Contains 40–180mg caffeine per typical 2-4g serving.
Fat Burning
Polyphenols enhance your metabolic activity during exercise and boosts your body's fat oxidation capacity. This effect is most pronounced when consumed before morning workouts or physical activity.
Antioxidant Protection
Receive significantly higher antioxidant levels (up to 137x more than low-grade brewed green tea) because you consume the whole shade-grown leaf.
Better Focus
Your concentration improves within 60 minutes because L-theanine + caffeine synergistically enhance attention without overstimulation. Studies show improved working memory and decreased mental fatigue during difficult tasks.
Cultivars
Yabukita & Okumidori. Yabukita is the most common matcha cultivar, Okumidori brings the sweetness and creaminess.
From Uji, Kyoto
This valley region is the most popular because it produces high quality matcha due to the climate. Days are sunny and warm while nights are misty and cold.
The name Nao (尚)
Means both "esteem" and "continuation" in Japanese. The "esteem" meaning symbolizes a promise to respect matcha for what it's always been, not just a trend. The "continuation" part is a promise to ourselves that we will continue bringing you joy through high quality tea, lovely service and an even lovelier community ❤️
